General Science- General Science is a required course for incoming freshman. The course is designed to give the student a basic introduction to the chemical and physical sciences. Topic heading outlining the course material is matter and energy. The different forms and types of energy are discussed in detail. Laboratory investigation is used to further students knowledge and concepts associated with energy. Main topics in the course are: particles of matter, interactions of matter, forces and motion, heat and thermal energy, electrical energy, sound and sound waves, and light behavior.
Sociology- Open to all seniors and also to juniors, this one semester course introduces the student to the field of study involving the growth of the human society, together with an examination of the development of cultures. Identifying social phenomena occurring in the surrounding societies and interpreting the effect of social events in the world are outcomes of this course.
Psychology- Open to all seniors and also to juniors, this one semester course introduces the student to the field of study of human behavior, growth and intellectual development. Understanding the human personality, the mind and thought process, the basics needed for positive mental health, and the problems arising from mental illness are the outcomes of this course.
