Algebra Concepts -
Two semesters, one unit of credit. This course fulfills the Algebra graduation requirements as set USD 211 Board of Education and by the Kansas State Department of Education. This course does not meet the requirements as set by the Kansas Board of Regent. The course uses examples of algebra in the world around us. You'll develop your problem solving skills as you learn new math concepts. The Concepts and Skills program seek to meet the needs of all learning levels by providing an accessible approach that helps prepare the student for success in Algebra. Exercise reinforce concepts building a solid foundation in Algebra. No prerequisite.

Geometry Concepts - Pre-requisite: Algebra Concepts

Chemistry I - Pre-requisite: Algebra I (Geometry would be helpful). 1/2 credit per semester.
The purpose of the course is to give the student a basic understanding of chemistry. The student will learn the fundamental principles of chemistry including some qualitative analysis. Methods of instruction include, lecture, class discussion, and labs. The title of the textbook used is Modern Chemistry. The student will be graded on labs, homework, and class examinations.

Chemistry II - Pre-requisite: Chemistry I and Algebra II or permission of the instructor. 1/2 credit per semester, two semester course.
The course is a continuation of Chemistry I and is designed for students planning a career in chemistry, biology, engineering, health care, and medicine. The purpose of the course is to give students and in-depth look at some topics covered lightly in Chemistry I and a study of Organic Chemistry. The student will be graded on labs, homework, and class examination.

Physics - Pre-requisites: Algebra II or permission of instructor. 1/2 credit per semester, a two semester course.
The purpose of the course is to give the student an introduction to physics. The student will learn about the metric system, force and motion, heat energy, wave motion, light, ad possibly electricity. Methods of instruction will include class discussion and labs. The student will be graded on labs, homework, and class examinations.
