Biology
- Biology is a two semester course, 1/2 credit for each semester. Students will learn about living organisms and gain a better understanding of themselves as a living organism. Course material includes biology vocabulary, microbiology, physiology and ecology. Students will be evaluated based on lab, homework and test grades. This is a required course for sophmores and should be provide a basic background in biology for everyone as well as prepare students for advanced work if they choose to pursure a career related to biology.
Physiology- Physiology is an advanced course designed for students who are planning to attend college. Biology is a prepequisite. Students will learn the basic vocabulary of the human body. Both structure and function of the human body will be examined. Functions of organ system will receive the most focus. Labs and small assignments will be evaluated, but test scores based on lecture and group discussion will be the primary factor in grade determination.
